Worst Guy Ever Tattoos His Pup

Now when that time comes to spay or neuter your pet, chances are you’re a wreck throughout the whole ordeal. Surgery is a big deal, whether you’re an animal or a human being. That’s why we were absolutely horrified when we learned that, New York tattoo artist, Mistah Metro had actually done the unthinkable and tattooed his dog!

While his dog was under anesthetics for a spleen removal, Metro thought it’d be the optimal time to give his dog a tattoo. With the vet’s permission he tattooed an Alex and Mel tattoo on his poor pooch. (The name Alex is the name of Metro’s wife and Mel is the name of his good friend.) Mistah Metro posted the following to his Instagram account with the caption “One of the many reasons my dog is cooler than yours! She had her spleen removed today and the vet let me tattoo her while she was under. #dogs”

Since posting the image, he has refused to comment since receiving some serious backlash. While it appears that the image has since been taken down Metro also has deactivated his social media accounts.

Metro is currently employed at NY Ink’s Chris Torres’ shop, Red Legged Devils. Torres has not been as silent as Metro about the situation giving various statements via his Twitter account, like “That didn’t happen at the shop, so it’s none of my business.” He also notes that it was done at the vet’s office not a tattoo parlor, as well as points out that the ASPCA inks their animals once they’ve been spayed or neutered.

The ASPCA has released the following statement after being called out by Torres, “Tattooing an animal for the vain sake of joy and entertainment of the owner without any regard for the well-being of the animal is not something the ASPCA supports.”

The tattoo shop Red Legged Devils also posted the following to its Twitter account on March 6, “Metro is no longer tattooing here. We had nothing to do with that dog being tattooed, It was not tattooed here.”

So for now it appears that Metro remains unemployed, but larger issues remain, like what was the vet thinking? What was Metro thinking? On what grounds is it okay to do that to an animal?

Comment below, and let us know what you think! Is what Metro did a crime? Should he be punished by law?
